Marvel just dropped a brand new trailer of its most-anticipated film of the year Avengers: Endgame and our excitement is literally off the roof. The moral of the story seems to be similar - we've been through a world of hurt, but we're not giving up the fight "whatever it takes". While fans have speculated that the characters will come back to life, the trailer doesn't exactly tell us how. That journey, which saw her wearing bits of the costumes of Hawkeye, Mockingbird, and Black Widow, also included a stint on the Young Avengers team.
Of all the lines spoken in the trailer, none is more loaded than Peggy Carter's reprisal of her words spoken in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Our money, however, is onCaptain Marvel/Carol Danvers, with Brie Larson portraying the cosmic hero in her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut last week. A variety of Avengers - and at least one Guardian of the Galaxy - are donning the costumes, including Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine, Ant-Man and Nebula. The movie, which stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Scarlett Johansson, will premiere in theaters on April 26.
Oh, and yes - that Captain Marvel moment too. In addition to the trailer, they also released a new poster showing off the surviving heroes who will be fighting to take back half the universe. Captain Marvel then gives him a little smile and Thor then says, "I like this one" and the trailer ends.
After those black-and-white flashbacks, we do get some new Endgame footage.
Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo, and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely return for the new installment.
