That's all well and good, but it's the Meizu Zero's complete lack of ports that makes it notable. This new smartphone from Meizu, dubbed as Meizu Zero, has ditched all ports and physical buttons in the favor of a seamless and fully compact glass body. Thankfully, the wireless charger comes with the phone so that is one less thing to worry about.

The Meizu Zero might look as clean and minimal as can be, but at first glance there's nothing about it that's any more striking than the Essential Phone, iPhone XS, or really any other premium phone.

There's also an in-display fingerprint reader to unlock the phone, as well as a "20 million pixel face recognition lens" in the tiny front-facing camera. The Meizu Zero has replaced the charging port with wireless charging capability of up to 18 watts.

The new portless design is the result of the company's own Wireless Wins Cable technology which supports 18W wireless super fast charging, cloud storage, and wireless connectivity. The device will rely on pressure sensitive volume and power buttons using the company's mEngine 2.0 tech.

The company has also removed the speaker grille from the bottom edge and has instead used mSound 2.0 technology that uses the phone's screen as a speaker and as an earpiece as well. According to Meizu, the Meizu Zero smartphone would support wireless USB 3.0 tech which would give the phone "unrivaled transmission speed".

Meizu has also replaced the physical buttons with haptic feedback so users will instead get virtual buttons on its sides. You want to change the Provider, because you want to use in the holiday country, a local Collective, you are doing this via an App.

Don't think about sticking your SIM card in the Zero, either, because there is no SIM card slot. And a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845SoC is the processor fitted on this phone. In terms of optics, the Meizu ZERO comes with Sony's IMX380 + IMX350 dual camera setup on the rear and a 20MP single selfie camera on the front.

RAM and storage figures are now shrouded in mystery, but the phones does feature a 6.0 inch OLED screen, as well as!P68 water and dust resistance.
