The Queen's birthday toast to Prince Charles will make you tear up

One of the many advantages of being royal is having a chauffeur to ferry you around, but at Prince Charles' birthday party last night some of the most important guests chose to drive themselves to the celebrations at Buckingham Palace. The Duchess of Cambridge made another appearance with Prince William on Thursday, November 15, for a visit to the BBC to kick off Anti-Bullying Week. This time, the pics are in honor of Prince Charles 70th birthday.

The rare informal pictures were taken at Clarence House, London by Chris Jackson in September before Meghan's pregnancy was announced.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady said this age-old tradition can actually be attributed to the British family's German heritage. And, because this is a super special day for the family, they celebrated by unveiling a brand new family portrait with every younger member of the Windsor squad present.

Charles turns 70 on Wednesday and will spend part of his birthday with Camilla having tea with a group of inspirational people who also celebrate their 70th birthday this year.

The photos show Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, sitting on a bench with five-year-old Prince George and three-year-old Princess Charlotte.

Meghan Markle is fitting in so well with her new family, it seems she even has some inside jokes with her nephew, Prince George!

On a related note, many events have been organised to celebrate the happy occasion of Prince Charles' birthday, today.

Showing her humorous side, the Queen also referenced the organic food line Prince Charles set up in 1990 by jokingly referring to him as a Duchy Original as well as roasting him about his age.

Each holiday season for the past two decades, the royal family retreats to Sandringham House, Queen Elizabeth's private country home in Norfolk, England.
