Chelsea win the league when Hazard is the best player, warns Mourinho

Mourinho said: 'It was bad education but I also made mistakes in football matches and I will make more so, when after the game he came to me to apologise, I accepted his apology and nothing more to say.

What happened? Substitute Ross Barkley was well placed to score Chelsea's equaliser in the 96th minute.

"Right now you're sitting with (Alvaro) Morata on two goals, Pedro on three goals, Barkley two".

But United couldn't hold out for an extra six minutes stoppage time as Barkley pounced after De Gea had produced another miraculous save from Rudiger before carnage broke loose on the touchline.

Yet despite the speculation over his future and a string of disappointing results, Mourinho's achievements in the game are more than enough to earn the respect of the current Blues boss. "If you say before the game that one point at Stamford Bridge is a good result, it is so hard to win here".

"No, I'm not annoyed with anything", he said.

Yet Neville thinks the win over the Magpies and the performance against Chelsea proves United's dressing room is not as toxic as was feared earlier this month, but rued that a victory in west London would have done Mourinho the world of good.

"I would love to have him in Manchester United but I don't think Chelsea will be selling to Manchester United so it's not a problem", he told his pre-match press conference.

While Mourinho lifted three Premier League titles in two successful spells in charge of Chelsea, he has since lost all three of his previous visits to London as the Red Devils manager without scoring a goal.

Questioned after the game, the Portuguese said it was in the past.

Mourinho, who won three titles with Chelsea, has been touted as the next Premier League managerial sacking after his side's indifferent start to the season.

"But the reactions of the fans is up to them".

"For me is another game", Mourinho told a news conference on Friday.

"Don't do what everyone does and say, 'It's Mourinho who does things.' I don't know his name".

Mourinho explained after the match that he had moved on from the unsavoury incident after claiming he was the victim of rudeness on the part of a member of the home team's coaching staff and fans.

A dramatic fightback from 2-0 down to beat Newcastle 3-2 before a two-week global break offered Mourinho a stay of execution, but the pressure is still on the Portuguese to close a seven-point gap on Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table.

"They are a very strong team".

"We are not organised for that because I do not want us playing for second balls".

City have scored 26 Premier League goals already during this campaign - putting them on course to beat the record 106 they totalled last season.

In the first half, United were the team so many have criticised this season.

Martial had been largely anonymous before the break, but, in contrast to Morata, took his chances when they came in the second period.

This was not a team that has given up on its manager and the manager has certainly not given up on his team.
