Xiaomi Mi A2 and A2 Lite gets listed on day of unveiling

Measuring 176.15×87.4×7.99mm, the device comes equipped with a circular fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. The 6-inch full-HD display packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB and 6GB RAM variants respectively. The Mi TV 4A price in India stands at Rs. 13,999 for the 32-inch model with HD screen, and Rs. 22,999 for the variant with 43-inch full-HD panel.

On the back, the Mi A2 sports a 12MP + 20MP dual-camera system. The front camera also comes with facial recognition technology to unlock the device. The portrait mode adds bokeh effect to the pictures by blurring the background. Project Treble should fix most of these issues to deliver faster software updates, but we will only come to know that after Google releases Android P.

Xiaomi Mi A2 will be available in gold, blue and black colors.

In terms of optics, it gets a 12MP (Sony IMX486) main camera and a 20MP f/1.75 (Sony IMX376) f/1.75 secondary shooter. While the Mi A2 Lite totally stand out from the standard Mi A2 as it flaunts a notched display. It sports a dual camera setup at rear which includes 12-megapixels+5-megapixels sensors with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, PDAF, AI Portrait Mode, and auto HDR. Upfront there is a 5MP snapper for clicking selfies.

At that price, the Mi A2 Lite would still be an excellent smartphone, but at the same time, it could be an overpriced phone from Xiaomi. The device, although is a rebranded edition of the Mi 5X, the Android One branding made it an instant hit on the regions wherever it was launched. On the connectivity front, the Mi A2 Lite support 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dedicated microSD card slot, dual SIM and micro USB port.

The Chinese online store Banggood has listed the device for $229.99 (Rs 15,800) for the 4GB and 64GB storage variant while the United Kingdom eGlobal Central has listed the Mi A2 for a price of £209.99 (approximately Rs 14,400).

You can choose from options ranging from 4GB RAM with 32GB of onboard storage, to 6GB RAM with 128GB of space.

The A2 Lite will set you back by €179 ($209) for the 3GB+32GB option, or €229 ($267) for the 4GB+64GB model in Spain. The phones will go on sale in France, Spain and Italy from July and August.

The Mi A2 Lite as rumoured is the Xiaomi's "notch" phone for the entry-level market. Passengers can get updates regarding train timings, booking status, cancellation, platform number on which the train will arrive, by sending a request through WhatsApp.
