Americans celebrate their union, rue divisions on this 4th of July

Are you looking for somewhere fun to go to celebrate Independence Day?

Weather for the event is also expected to uphold a July 4 tradition: it will be hot with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

The event will feature food vendors, a beer garden, and family friendly activities.

The Louisville Crashers will play for at least the second year in the row at the city's Riverfront Amphitheater (festivities start at 6 p.m.), but this time they'll be joined by two TV-famous singers: Linkin' Bridge from "America's Got Talent" and Layla Spring from "American Idol". A large fireworks display will follow at dusk.

Mount Pleasant - The time of day to discharge fireworks is restricted from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on the same dates it is permissible to sell fireworks within the city limits. In addition to the fireworks, Boy Scout Troop 622 will have nachos and hot dogs available for purchase from 6 to 9 p.m.

The kids zone is open from 5 to 9 p.m.

- The Fourth of July Parade begins at 10 a.m. on July 4 along Main Street.

The festivities include vendors, rock climbing walls, food, live music, and a thirty-minute fireworks display. The Maryland Symphony Orchestra's Salute to Independence concert is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks beginning at approximately 9:45 p.m.

No lighting fireworks while intoxicated.

Also at 1 Berkeley Springs, there will be a community band patriotic celebration at Cacapon State Park.

The most recent states that brought an end to their outright ban on fireworks have done so cautiously - allowing only a few previously forbidden items onto their markets.

Chicago's grandest fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m. at Navy Pier.

- Ashton Fireworks begin at 10 North Fremont High School, 3581 East 1300 North.

- The Mountain View Hospital Riverfest will be from noon to 10 Snake River Landing.

Officials said they are taking precautions, but have not detected any credible security threats following the arrest on Sunday of an American-born OH man on suspicion of planning to detonate a bomb at Cleveland's Fourth of July celebrations.

Be Aware: use only legal fireworks and use them only in legal places. Those who are 12 and under can get in for free.
