The trailer for Halo: Infinite shown at Microsoft's E3 briefing was actually a video for the game's new engine, Slipspace, not the game itself.

So far details are scarce on the new title. The industry is headed in an exciting direction, and we see an opportunity to create unbelievable new game experiences of the future. But if you make a game, and you put it on Game Pass, you can still sell stuff to players within your game. "With Halo Infinite we will join Master Chief on his greatest adenture yet to save humanity", said Xbox chief Phil Spencer. Our MR devices work with Steam games now - I love what's happening there - and in the living room there are still, in my opinion, challenges to be solved.

To counter that, Microsoft surprised with a huge number of Japanese games coming to Xbox.

It's been a long time since we've received a proper new Battletoads game.

It seems the Xbox One may finally get an exclusive game from Destiny 2 developer Bungie.

The trailer description on Youtube confirms what we heard from Microsoft past year: the next Halo is coming to Windows 10 as well as the Xbox.

Microsoft promised to have one of their biggest shows in history for E3 2018. Microsoft also is forming a new studio called The Initiative in Santa Monica, Calif., to be headed by industry veteran Darrell Gallagher. However, the multiplayer part of the game will purportedly release in 2020, which is a year later. Several of the games from the leak have already been confirmed, so we're going on the assumption that the rest are real as well.

We've contacted Microsoft for comment.

Surprising news? Not exactly, but many industry observers have lingering doubts about the future of Microsoft-branded hardware under CEO Satya Nadella.
