Perhaps the most important difference between the OnePlus 6 and its predecessor - theOnePlus 5T- is design. Similarly, the company will also be launching the same on in India on the 17th of May. No, it doesn't mean you can dip your phone in water, but the device can now withstand serious splashes, or washes. And that is a wrap. The company has started reservations for the phone and pre-bookings will start on May 21. Now, the company has announced several launch offers as well. The OnePlus 6 main camera has 16-megapixel image sensor. It has 16MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX 371 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and EIS for stable selfies. The fingerprint sensor, too, has been re-designed and is no longer circular as seen on the OnePlus 5T. OnePlus has showcased the capabilities of the cameras on the OnePlus 6.
The OnePlus 6 marks the introduction of OnePlus' Slow Motion mode, which can capture high-definition video frame-by-frame with astonishing detail, ensuring users never miss the action.
OnePlus 6 comes with an inbuilt video editor. Dimensions of the OnePlus 6 are rumoured at 155.7x75.4x7.8mm and it is said to weigh 177 grams. Ten minutes on any USB-C cable (no need for a OnePlus branded cable or charger) will give the earphones enough juice for five hours, and have an eight hour battery life from full.
They also include fast charging. As noted earlier, the phone comes with top class Snapdragon 845 processor.
OnePlus is also releasing a limited edition Silk White model on 5th June, which will only be available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Of course, you can test out the latest Android P beta on the phone too. Interestingly, all models are built from glass, but only "Mirror Black" is shiny. A jagged texture was etched onto the film of the Midnight Black to produce a subtle S-shaped line when the phone is reflected in light. The 8/128GB model will also be available for £519 in Mirror and Midnight Black, while the 8/256GB model will cost £569 and will only be available in Midnight Black. The smartphone maker for its part has already started to compare the OnePlus 6's camera with the iPhone X, Galaxy S9 and Google Pixel 2, suggesting that this year's device could very well be a major hit with photography enthusiasts. That's usually one of the perks of a glass back.
