NES Classic Edition Coming Back To Store Shelves On June 29

Nintendo has announced through Twitter, that the NES Classic will be back on the shelves on June 29th.

This is great news for gaming fans, and also those people who just really like buying retro stuff.

Before the SNES Classic was released, Nintendo confirmed that the NES Classic would return to retailers in Summer 2018. The NES Classic contains 30 games and costs $60 while the SNES Classic contains 21 games and costs $80.

Now we know when, with the little console returning to shelves in Europe and America on 29th June. Of course, they could always make their own NES Classic Edition with a Raspberry Pi and 3D-printed case.

Unlike the original console, the Nintendo NES Classic will allow players to pick up right where they left off. "As part of that effort, we have updated our warranty text to clarify that Nintendo provides warranty service for defects not caused by the user or by other unauthorized acts".

YouTuber Sam Breadman (via Nintendo Life) has hacked into his Switch console and appears to have the SNES Classic Mini UI running on the handheld device.

Nintendo says it will re-release the popular NES Classic next month. In April, Nintendo disclosed in its financial statements that it had sold more than 5 million units of the console, which sells for $79.99. 1 and 3, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Pac-Man, Final Fantasy, Kirby's Adventure and more.
