A new trailer for the game was just released, as well, which contain gameplay footage and a brief look into the world of the game.

When Bethesda revealed the first trailer for RAGE 2 yesterday, the first impressions were that it was insane, but many of you wanted to wait for today's gameplay trailer. In the game you play as Walker, the last Ranger, on his quest to topple an evil regime. You can expect the game to hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

The official gameplay trailer for RAGE 2 can be seen below.

The open-world mayhem experts from Avalanche Studios are now bringing their talents to 'Rage'.

An asteroid has annihilated eighty percent of the Earth's population, and humanity's numbers are dwindling.

Unlike before, the official gameplay trailer was not leaked, and it came just at the right time.

Rage 2 will be a collaborative effort.

Id Software never came back to Rage as it made a decision to focus on other titles like Doom.

As mentioned, fans will be eager to see what the game looks like since that first cinematic trailer did little but to reinforce the games post-apocalyptic, mad max-esk setting.

As if the gangs and mutants aren't enough, Walker also has to contend with the Authority, returning antagonists from the first game who threaten anything good remaining in the world. It sure ticks all of the "AAA hype" boxes though for some folks - first-person shooter, open world, post-apoc.

While everyone thought that the leaked announcement of Bethesda's and ID Software's RAGE 2 was fake, it apparently isn't.

Equipped with unique guns and gear, you'll need every one of your weapons and all of your skills to defend your home - even if it is a merciless wasteland.

The Bethesda Softworks' pre-E3 2018 showcase is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, June 10, at 6:30 pm PT. Walker is out for revenge against "The Authority", fighting his way through "bloodthirsty gangs to find the tools and tech needed".
