"If there was ever a time for Season 4 of Veronica's Closet, it's now", Late Night host Seth Meyers joked at NBCUniversal's presentation Monday morning.

Programming wasn't his only target.

Sources tell THR that Universal Television "has plans to revive the series at another outlet", with celebrities including Lin-Manuel Miranda and Mark Hamill weighing in on the cancellation on Twitter.

Forte was able to finally fully spread his wings as a comedic actor after two notable supporting spots on "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock".

The cast of the show has also gushed about the renewal on social media.

Andy Cohen, host of "Watch What Happens Live", revealed the network would be expanding to seven nights of originals. Recently, both FOX and NBC discussed the TV show's cancellation and season six pick up, reports Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Fox did not own the pricey-ish comedy. I know this past season was one of the best years creatively.

Fox canceled the series on Thursday, May 10, along with fellow comedies The Last Man on Earth and The Mick. The network was unable to sell ads on the program at a high enough rate to cover the cost of the license fee paid to Fox's TV studio. The format will be a championship tournament of past favorite performers and winners from worldwide editions of the show.
