The new Mi A2 will sport the same metal unibody design as Mi A1, but it will come with a refreshed design, especially the 18:9 display. However, in a surprising move, the company has announced price hike for two of its products that were launched back in February this year - the Redmi Note 5 Pro, and, the Mi LED TV 4 55-inch smart TV. As can be seen in the pictures below, the phone's design will be similar to that of other flagships. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC. If rumours are believed to be true this might be the Redmi S2, which also runs on the same SoC and was recently cleared China's 3C certification.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a dual rear camera setup, with the 12-megapixel primary sensor sporting an aperture of f/2.2 and a 1.25-micron pixel size, while the 5-megapixel secondary sensor has a f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size. Firmware files cited in the report talks about two Xiaomi Android One phones: one that's likely to be a rehashed Mi 6X, and another that's likely to be even more affordable.
"We hope that with the substantial increase in the manufacturing capacity, we would be able to do a monthly volume of one million Redmi Note 5 Pro", it added in a statement issued on Monday. The lower variant of the phone was launched at a price of Rs. 13,999.
The Note 5 Pro does bring substantial upgrades to the predecessor, the Note 4. For the selfie lovers, Xiaomi has given a 5MP front camera with the satisfying image output. The front camera also features the portrait mode, which utilises company's AI algorithms to create the bokeh effect for artificial blurs. The Zenfone Max Plus comes with a Full HD+ (2160 x 1080) 5.7-inch screen with a compact body equivalent to a 5.2-inch smartphone, Asus said. The power / lock, volume up, and volume down buttons are included on the right-hand side of the device, while the phone's SIM card tray can be accessed from the left. Along with this, the phone will be backed up by a huge 5,500 mAh non-removable battery.
