The new feature could compete against Apple's Portrait mode which is available only iPhone 7 Plus, 8 Plus, X and Android's portrait mode that is available on Pixel 2 and 2XL.

The Focus mode and username mention stickers features are being rolled out with a version 39 update to the Instagram app. It's pretty easy and quickly gets you the best of photos within your older device. Today, a Twitter user Genady Okrain shared screenshots and more information on how the new Instagram Nametags works. In a similar fashion, there's another new feature coming out for iOS only. Yes, Focus mode supports videos too! Making them look as good as possible could keep Instagram from growing stale as it rockets toward 1 billion users.

So users will be getting the new Focus icon in-between the Boomerang and Superzoom option. Apart from this, in order to expand its user base the app changed its algorithm and also witnessed a revamp with the change in its popular polaroid camera logo. One could already tag their friends in their Stories, but if you've ever wanted a dedicated sticker for it, you now have it. You can check out the video below to see how it works. To make your Instagram account private, go to your Instagram profile window and click on the three dots situated in the right corner.

This new mode allows users to spend more time on the app. Now you can simply use Instagram for that objective. When you take a photo or video of someone in the Focus format, their face will stay focused while the background subtly blurs, making the photo look polished and handsome.
