I'll save my analysis of that for another column.
When Daniel Bryan gave Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn the opportunity to challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match, Shane McMahon chose to do the same with Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler.
This may disappoint some, but John Cena's star has nearly completely faded.
The United States and SmackDown Tag Team Championship pictures aren't as clear. That's like nearly half the Smackdown Live! roster. After weeks of underwhelming build, could the show deliver on the night?
" Randy Orton won the U.S. title for the first time, beating Bobby Roode with an RKO".
Cena looked dejected as Styles continued his celebration pointing towards the Wrestlemania sign, where he will face Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE championship on April 8. I'm not really feeling any other matchup besides Nakamura vs. Styles, and the six-pack challenge is at least a good way to throw in some reasonable doubt there. I knew I was most likely wrong since Orton usually needs some sort of marquee match at 'Mania (not exactly sure why). The reality is that he's one of the champions with the best odds to leave Fastlane with his belt. After the match, Jinder Mahal came in and attacked. As much as I would like to say yes I do actually think we will see Cena win after several false finishes unless The Undertaker shows up.
So, Becky and Carmella got in an argument and had a match. This clearly makes way for a multi-team Wrestlemania match for the tag titles at Wrestlemania 34.
Two things: either Orton wins, or Mahal costs Orton the win.
What's next: Charlotte vs. Asuka.
Flair performed an outstanding moonsault on her opponent during the match.
Commissioner Shane McMahon would announce on Twitter that the victor of the Dolph Ziggler/Baron Corbin match on the following week's Smackdown Live would be added to the match, making it a Fatal 4-Way.
Last year, the Usos and the New Day had the best rivalry of the year.
-Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.
The Bludgeon Brothers' interference was there to cement them as bona-fide badasses; it didn't work. Or everyone else, really. The fans hurled taunts (You Can't Wrestle) at Rowley as he entered the ring. After all, WrestleMania is less than a month away.
But he has to, anyway.
What's next: AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura.
Even though he may be guilty of mailing it in from time to time, when he's locked in, few in WWE are better than Shinsuke Nakamura.
