As the dust settles from the major Bachelor bombshell earlier this week, Arie Luydendyk Jr. and his new fiancéeLauren Burnham are planning to leave all the drama behind. She says she was "banned" from covering the show after ABC complained her articles were too negative.
"That's not how the world works, that's not how love works", Harrison said.
Luyendky proposed to Kufrin at the end of the second hour. "We've had a lot of conversations about it, and I know he won't change his mind again".
She added that she "asked what I wanted to ask" when she saw Arie during the finale.
Becca Kurfin has forgiven Arie Luyendyk for unceremoniously dumping her on The Bachelor in one of the most shocking moments from the series. Bachelor Nation fans were annoyed after Luyendyk proposed to "The Bachelor" victor and Minnesota native Becca Kufrin, 27, only to dump her shortly after.
Then she collapsed with sobs. "Why am I having a panic attack?" he asked, breathlessly.
And then he added a new reason: "It's also thinking about Becca".
"I totally respect his decision to follow his heart", she told PEOPLE this week. "I wanted to do this in front of everyone because I want to show you that I should have done this a long time ago", he continued. Becca said. "I mean, it's a huge moment in your life and my life and everyone's life".
Flashback to the studio: Five of the other ex-contestants sat like a Greek chorus. In short, The Bachelor is really banking on you forgiving Arie.
It's true: "Bachelor Nation" fans sponsored digital billboards around the country on Tuesday. Fox reporter Jenna Jones claimed in now-deleted tweets that Arie auditioned for the ABC dating show when he was seeing her.
"It was like a slap in the face", she told People magazine. The amount has surpassed $6,000. "I was shocked like the rest of America, but it was so sad", she said. She said her family was "head over heels about him". "Give it to some cause that needs it". "So that day there was never any doubt that I could see".
"The pressure", he said. But would I do it all again and face this scrutiny to be with her? That hope belongs to someone else now. But she defended Luyendyk, sort of, saying she didn't think he threw her over for Burnham to "maliciously to break my heart".
Getting to the "happy couple weekend" isn't easy, as both the lead and their final pick have to make sure they arrive at the destination undetected.
"Wow", he said. "That was actually dramatic ..." I didn't really suspect anything at the time.
