Kirk Cousins to make decision on new team this week

Check out (as one eagle-eyed Twitter user saw) which two teams, other than Washington, that Cousins tagged.

"Last year, Keenum settled for a $2 million contract in free agency and didn't even crack our Top 101".

I'm not certain that Cousins brings Minnesota a lot closer to a Super Bowl championship, but he at least doesn't push them further away from one.

Call me insane, but $91 million for Kirk Cousins just seems ludicrous. So, it could very well be the case that both Bridgewater and Keenum are still in the mix. Cousins also thanked the organization - coach Jay Gruden, team president Bruce Allen and owner Dan Snyder. Could they convince Jerick McKinnon to return?

Kirk Cousins of the Washington Redskins warms up. The 2012 fourth round pick finished a year ago 347-540 for 4,093 yards and 27 touchdowns to 13 interceptions. Keenum finished the 2017 season with over 3,500 yards, 22 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. He started every game over the next three seasons, helping the Redskins win the NFC East in 2015. However, this is not what makes the Vikings one of the highest contenders in the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes.

Ask Keenum. In his first five seasons with three teams, Keenum was a combined 9-15 as a starter.

The former Pro Bowler will likely face pressure from fellow players to take the guarenteed money on offer, as the move would dramatically alter the future of free agency for elite players and quarterbacks in particular. Drew Mahowald explored the chances he lands in Minnesota.

McCarron is expected to be in line for lucrative contract offers that will push possibly well north of a $16 million annual salary.

"We all understand on how the quarterback position has a direct influence on how your team plays", Joseph said in February. But for the Broncos to go from worst to near first in a year's time, the percentages are greater if they get either Cousins or Keenum, Keenum or Cousins.

"People not fully understanding what Cousins has done & the contract he will get", tweeted former National Football League executive Joe Banner.
