The Redmi Note 5 smartphone- a successor to the popular Redmi Note 4 is expected to be launched in India at 12 noon. Here's everything to keep in mind. It was insane. Redmi Note 4 became the go-to phone for anyone looking to purchase a smartphone under-Rs 13,000 and its popularity spiked in leaps and bounds. Furthermore, this is the first Xiaomi device to get Face Lock and it also comes with rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi has opted to retain a big battery and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC found on its predecessor, the Redmi Note 4.
The 50 inch Mi TV 4A is based on Android operating system and has the MIUI interface. Rest of the specs on the Redmo Note 5 Pro are nearly the same as the Redmi Note 5. The launch event, which begins at 12pm, will be livestreamed on Xiaomi's YouTube channel. The pro version will come with only one internal storage option (64GB), and two RAM versions - 4GB and 6GB.
The Redmi Note 5 has an all-new design with a tapered back edge.
Talking about the specifications, the Redmi Note 5 comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with small bezels on the top and bottom of the front. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is an enhanced version of the Redmi Note 5 bearing better specs and camera features. At Rs 16,999 for the 6GB/64GB variant and Rs 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant, it sits at a price point where a smartphone is expected to up your status quo while keeping your pocket in one piece. The Redmi Note 5 Pro has a design similar to that of the Apple iPhone X; especially the rear camera module resembles the latter. It runs MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat out of the box. Xiaomi is hoping to repeat the magic with the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, and in the process cement its position as a market leader in the highly competitive Indian smartphone market.
The phone is loaded with features like an 18:9 aspect ratio display and dual rear cameras.
Xiaomi has just announced their 2018 Redmi Note series lineup and we have two different smartphones placed at two different price points.
Besides the two phones, the company also launched a LED smart TV for the first time in India.
As per a Facebook banner page, the device will be "Easy on your pocket", have only be 4.9mm thick and be powered by a "lightning fast processor" with an "all-new intelligent OS". Xiaomi's Mi TV 4 models also come with "transparent" stand which makes Mi TV 4 look suspended in the air even without mounted on the wall. The company will give ultra thin case for free with the device. Along with this, Mi TV 4 also has a dual-speaker set-up boasting Dolby and DTS audio for a truly cinematic experience. This is an LED television with minimal bezels. All three variants have 4K HDR support.
