That's really about it for the new S9 phones. Is it enough? For the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S7 owner, absolutely.

"Nothing is more important than how emojis are replacing words", he said. Here's what to expect.

The Galaxy S9 is expected to sport a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED Infinity QHD+ display, whereas the bigger model could sport a 6.2-inch screen.

The camera in both the devices has this time seen a change.

Eager to put the Galaxy Note 7 disaster in the rearview, Samsung used 2017 to double down on impressive, feature-packed smartphones.

Dimensions and weight: Coming in at 163 grams, S9's dimensions are 147.7 x 68.7 x 8.5 mm.

These phones are sleek. There's 64GB of internal storage on the phones which you can expand up to 400GB via a microSD card. Both the phones support fast Charging both on wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) charging. The smartphones might be available in three colour variants - Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple.

Earlier it was reported that the prices for the Galaxy S9 and S9 + will amount to 841 euros (about 28 thousand hryvnia) and 997 euros (about 33 thousand hryvnia), respectively.

The smartphones now have the "widest ever aperture included in a smartphone camera" as they have an f/1.5 lens. It also has dual OIS. The S9+ gets a dual 12MP cameras with dual optical image stabilization. A wide-angle camera uses the Super Speed Dual Pixel 12-megapixel sensor with dual apertures. The S9+ has an 8MP f/1.7 front camera, like the S9.

The new AR Emoji feature scans a user's selfie and maps 100 features to create an animated emoji of their face which can then be shared in messages.

Samsung lets users create an emoji that looks, sounds and acts like them. The two phones come with a new feature that Big Sam is referring to as "Dual Aperture", which is to say, the device is able to shoot images between two apertures of f/2.4 and f/1.5 using one lens. The S9 can unlock with facial recognition, but it isn't as secure as Apple's Face ID. On the back, Samsung has finally moved the fingerprint scanner to the bottom of the camera so you'll no longer have trouble finding the scanner everytime you want to unlock it.

There's a 3000mAh battery unit on the S9 whereas the top variant gets 3500mAh of battery. Unfortunately, the design of the device is still the same but we do have a change in the fingerprint sensor position.

The U.S. Galaxy S9 is powered by the Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, which features four 2.7GHz cores and four 1.7GHz cores. S9 has 4GB of RAM and S9+ has a 6GB of RAM.

The speakers are tuned by AKG and also support Dolby Atmos.

Thanks to the new processor, these will be the first smartphones with support for LTE Cat 18. Pre-order customers will also receive a Harman Kardon Onyx speaker. Pricing will be determined by the retailer.
