On Saturday afternoon, the #Philadelphia Eagles pulled off an upset win after defeating the Atlanta Falcons during the National Football League playoffs. So with the Falcons two yards from the end zone on a fourth down in a five-point game, it was the do-or-die moment they desired.

"When they called that sprint out, everybody knew it". Under his command, this Eagles defense has been transformed into an elite unit.

The Philadelphia Eagles will compete in the NFC Championship game at Lincoln Financial Field on January 21 at 6:40 p.m. Fans have suggested a strong offense, Valium and plenty of alcohol to get through that game. Other RBs made a lot of plays.

So while the defense was vastly improved, particularly in the pass rush, the Falcons fell flat with the ball far too many times.

Whether it's the Saints or the Vikings, the Eagles' opponent in the conference championship game is going to be running into an angry team at the doorstep of a Super Bowl berth.

"It was tricky out there, really gusty", Elliott said. "I ended up on the ground when I came out of the route", Jones said, not faulting the official for not making any sort of call after making contact with Jalen Mills.

Although, Saturday's game against Atlanta would be a nail-biter to the very end. "Was there plays that knocked us out?"

"It's a German Shepherd", Long said. "In that situation, it's very hard for an official to call that play". Jones had nine catches for 101 yards, but Ryan couldn't connect with him when it mattered most.

That was where Mills got a hand on Ryan's pass intended for Julio Jones to allow Philadelphia to kill the final seconds with Foles taking a knee in the "victory formation". At the snap, the edge rusher comes up to the line of scrimmage, while the middle linebacker follows Ajayi to the right, leaving the middle of the field wide open for Agholor, who picks up eight yards. The Falcons kept marching and appeared prime to pull out the victory. In the first 30 minutes alone, they lost a fumble, muffed a punt, dropped a would-be interception and had a second pass they should have picked off another ball, but they had defensive pass interference on the play.

At times it wasn't pretty and the Eagles still have some things they need to clean up if they still want to make the Super Bowl.

When the game is on the line, put it in the hands of your best players. "We're a different team than we were past year when we played them and they're a different team. We all stuck together and believed we could move the ball". "Whatever call is (sent) down, we have to execute it and make it come to life".

Here's Stefen Wisniewski tossing Falcons safety Ricardo Allen like a rag doll, and then following that up with a second block on safety Keanu Neal.

"I haven't watched film", Jones said on the reason for the loss. "I knew where the ball was going".

Ajayi returned at the start of the second half. "I can't give you an answer why we didn't succeed down there".

Doug Pederson is now in the NFC Championship Game, despite leading a team without Carson Wentz, Jason Peters, Jordan Hicks, and Darren Sproles.
