Due to the bezel-less design, the device not only looks futuristic but also feels more compact in hand.
OnePlus is all set to launch it's latest flagship killer today called the OnePlus 5T. The smartphone has been keeping the internet media grapevine churning for weeks now.
Sadly, the smartphone still doesn't feature a waterproof design, stereo speakers, or the Android 8.0 Oreo OS, which many OnePlus fans were expecting.
Keeping the phone (hopefully) running all day is a 3300mAh battery on the OnePlus 5T along with the excellent Dash Charge system for quickly topping up. All of that contributes to a better Portrait Mode with enough data to suss out subject fringing. The OnePlus 5T is an iterative update to follow up the company's OnePlus 5 from earlier this year, but it has some significant hardware changes while the 3 to 3T update was exclusively about specs. In fact, OnePlus says all the tickets for the launch were sold out across all five cities soon after they became available.
It also has an Adreno 540 GPU to ensure the OnePlus 5T provides the graphical performance needed for demanding games. The OnePlus 5T comes in two variants, the more affordable model includes 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.1 2-lane storage, while the more expensive model comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 2-lane storage. OnePlus' custom OxygenOS has received a facelift, though. OnePlus says the 5T can unlock your phone in less than 0.2 seconds. The main 16 MP camera has 1.12µm pixel sixe and aperture of f/1.7 while the secondary 20 MP camera has pixel size of 1.0 µm and aperture of f/1.7. Within the dual-camera setup, the device houses one 20Megapixel sensor and another 16Megapixel module. It is also thicker than the OnePlus 5, weighing in at 164 grams. The handset is rumoured to support global 4G LTE bands and support 34 network bands. There was a recent leak which revealed that the OnePlus 5T just like the OnePlus 3T will feature a front-facing camera upgrade.
Of course, you can also pick up the OnePlus 5T on contract, with O2 acting as the exclusive United Kingdom carrier. There is a possibility that Star Wars and OnePlus entered into an exclusive deal to make limited editions of OnePlus 5T Star Wars-themed phones. The company, however, took no time to introduce a new "opt-in" option for the user experience program.
