The company had unveiled the Mi MIX 2 in China alongside the Mi Note 3 in the previous month. Further, there many other improvements and the changes that differs it from the last year's Mi Mix. The Mi Mix 2 comes in three different variants based on their RAM and internal storage capacity - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with 6GB RAM & 64GB internal storage, Mi Mix 2 with 6GB RAM & 128GB internal storage, and Mi Mix 2 with 6GB RAM & 256GB internal storage. The Mi MIX 2 Special Edition is valued higher at ¥4,699 (about Rs 46,000). The Mi MIX 2 comes with a hidden, sound-guided speaker which delivers sound from the top of the display. The front is almost bezel-less at the top and sides. Beside it you get a Dual Tone LED Flash and Moving a bit down there is a Fingerprint sensor. The first Mi Mix was not internationally released, but it was still able to pique the interest of the consumers and industry watchers all over. The volume rockers and power button are present at the right side and are easily reachable with single hand. You will often find yourself wiping off those unwanted smudges. What's even better is that the premium looks come at a very competitive price, but what it does miss out in pursuing that goal is a basic 3.5mm headphone jack. The antenna bands run at the corners of the bottom.
As far as the features are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will feature a 5.99-inch full-HD LCD display. The Samsung Galaxy S8 flaunts a 5.8-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,960 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
The Mi Mix is smaller, slimmer, and lighter than its previous iteration. The color reproduction, as well as response from the display, are really good. The rear camera comes with 4-axis optical image stabilization and 1.25µm large pixels.
Concluding, the Mi Mix 2 is a great product from Xiaomi's house. I have tried the original Mi Mix and the second generation phablet does feel more usable in everyday scenarios.
Coming to artificial lighting, the camera is well performing but some grains start seeping in. Like all Xiaomi's flagships, it does not support expandable storage. It is powered by the flagship mobile processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 835.
