However, with Nextbit under its wing, Razer could end up making something quite unique. The first thing Razor did was discontinue the Nextbit and set its new staff to work on a smartphone more appropriate to their new employer. Now, let's talk about the specifications of the gaming-centric, Razer Phone.

Bloomberg reported in July that Razer wanted to make a device following its acquisition of Nextbit.

According to the rumored Razer Phone specifications, the device will come with 8 GB of RAM which seems like overkill but it will ensure smooth multitasking and quick response. It's unclear if the phone will launch with that, or if it's just what was available when the phone was being put through its paces for these tests. The phone clearly features Razer's neon green snake logo.

Rumor has it that Razer has been secretly working on a smartphone for some time now, with company CEO Min-Liang Tan himself rising to the occasion recently to tease the device on Twitter.

The Razer smartphone is listed as having 64GB of storage.

Beneath the display, it will be a Qualcomm octa-core processor that would power up the device, and going by the clock-speeds, we can safely assume that to be the Snapdragon 835 SoC. Most flagships are in the 4GB range, with a few ones carrying 6GB.
