After the killing of Las Vegas, Marvel and Netflix have made a decision to pause the promotion of the first season of The Punisher.

Frank Castle is coming to Netflix.

The release date announcement comes a couple weeks after Marvel and Netflix canceled a New York Comic Con panel in the wake of the October 1st mass shooting in Las Vegas.

Like many of Marvel's Netflix series, the upcoming Punisher spinoff series takes the genre to some drastically different places than the blockbuster films.

Bernthal's Castle was first introduced to audiences in the second season of Marvel's Daredevil. The series follows Frank Castle after the events of Daredevil season 2 as seeks vengeance against the shady government agents who killed his family and hunts for the truth about his past. Pencil it in your calendars, book the days off work and tell your family to piss off that day; the full series will be available to stream on November 17th. There's a crossover with Daredevil's Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) who will apparently help him on his unsafe mission. It's hard not to feel like the featured thumbnail picture on the trailer, with Frank Castle examining his own broken reflection, is something that this country desperately needs to do. But there are some new things too, like an implication of a possible romance between Castle and Karen Page, and new shots of Castle in his signature Punisher.long sleeve shirt? I'm not certain that will be the case with this one. Will you be tuning in this November to see the story of Frank Castle unfold across the show's 13-episode season?
