The Mi Mix 2 has a 12% reduced bottom bezel and a screen-to-body ratio of 80.8%.

The phone sports a 5.99 Inch Super AMOLED display with 2160 x 1080 pixels of screen resolution. This special edition of the Mi Mix 2 smartphone is priced at Yuan 4,699 in the market. Also announced today was the Mi Mix 2 Special Edition that comes with a ceramic "Unibody" design and 8GB of RAM, retailing for RMB 4699 ($720). The company launched the Mi Mix 2, a beautiful, nearly bezel-less device with pretty crazy specs and a moderate price.

The device will be available in 6 modes supporting 43 bands, and will be offered in a rich color palette. Aside from launching the successor of Mi Mix, they also launched the Mi Note 3 as well as a Mi Notebook Pro laptop in China. Key camera features include OIS, 2X optical zoom and DSLR-like depth-of-field effect. At the moment, there is no word on whether Xiaomi will bring the smartphone to India. It packs a 3,400 mAh Battery with Fast Charging. The new Mi Mi 2 runs on an Android 7.1 Nougat Operating System with MIUI 9. And for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage variant in Blue, the price is CNY 2,999 (around Rs 29,500). It's reportedly going to tout a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The use of the Snapdragon 660 SoC might be a downside as its predecessor - the Mi Note 2 came with the Snapdragon 821 SoC that was used by the flagship phones back then.

The phone comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The camera also has fingerprint sensor has gold coated rim. There, the phone will cost ¥3299 ($505 USD) for the 64GB option, ¥3599 ($550 USD) for the 128GB model, and, finally, ¥3999 ($610 USD) for the 256GB model.

The Mi Note 3 features a metal frame with 3D curved glass on the front and rear. The device will also feature a dual camera at the back. And right in time of its anniversary, the Chinese manufacturers are now pulling out its sequel, with more standardization of the still somewhat alien specification.

Just days before the iPhone launch, Xiaomi launched the Mi Mix 2, a phone with a stunning ceramic body and 5.99-inch bezel-less display.
