Samsung is launching the Galaxy Note 8 in India on September 12, the same day when Apple plans to unveil the iPhone 8 in Cupertino, California. Recently, a shocking report came in regarding the number of registration for this smartphone. However, we all know what a big jerk Note 7 turned out for Samsung. The pre-orders for the model reached almost 400,000 units in Samsung's home market on the first day, reported news agency Yonhap. Galaxy C8 is yet to go on sale in China and price is yet to be confirmed.

Pakistani customers can pre-order the phone here.

Despite being expensive, Galaxy Note 8 is doing great in home country of the company.

If this demand is to maintain, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 should easily brush aside the demand for the Galaxy S8 and S8+. This can be increased to 6GB for £49 per month, or 16GB for £52 per month.

Meanwhile, the Google Pixel series can be considered more of a mid-range smartphone, with starting prices for the smaller and larger Pixel units expected to be $649 and $749 respectively.

Dive into the settings menu found within the Note 8's camera app and you'll find a little section marked "Shooting methods".

The Galaxy Note 8 is an unbelievable smartphone, but there were fears that the consumers will shy away from the phone (at least initially) after the last year's Note 7 recall due to battery explosions. It's an extremely exciting device because of the huge screen, dual cameras, and improved S-Pen stylus. It's noted that the fingerprint sensor cable could be damaged when cutting through the adhesive, so pay special attention there.

Coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity, the base model is not much behind the 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant of the phone. It also has 3300mAh battery.

This supposedly fire-proof battery comes with support for both fast charging via USB-C and wireless charging baked-in. Samsung said the Note 8 is also the first smartphone to provide optical image stabilization for dual cameras.

iFixit also summarized its findings and highlighted that the Galaxy Note 8 scores a repairability score of 4/10.

The Galaxy Note 8 is packed with features and is Samsung's first phone running Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

If you're still on the fence regarding whether or not this new Galaxy is right for you, those are a few key points to consider.
