Michail Antonio: West Ham buzzing going into Spurs clash

Bilic admitted Tottenham are an example for the Premier League's chasing pack. West Ham were bad in their opening game at Manchester United but since then have been decent, the sending off of Marko Arnautovic ended their chances early against Southampton but a win over Huddersfield and a draw at West Brom have renewed hope of the hammers moving up the table and possibly looking at a top half finish. Indeed, by the time the rest of the league kicks off, West Ham could find themselves thirteenth in the table, allowing them to finally start looking above themselves, rather than below.

Latest reports indicate that Manuel's return is expected to be after the next global break; so already we're talking about him being off for another fortnight at least.

I think there were enough signs of green shoots in that performance to indicate that Everton will have too much for Bournemouth.

Former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood is the latest to have suggested that silverware must be secured in order for the prolific 24-year-old to stay put.

"I think it is so important to manage properly, it is the key to keeping him fit and to providing all the quality that he has to the team. All the managers love to have this type of player in your squad", Pochettino said. "I've felt the pressure for a whole year now, it didn't start today".

"It wasn't his problem, it was that he was getting injured".

'He is not one that slows down because he feels he is the king.

"Some players like competition, even the goalkeepers who like a No 2 pushing them so both of them progress together". One suspects that these two sides might mutually agree to play this as a neutral venue. He's a fighter. He's very strong in the air and I think he fits the game that West Ham wants to play. He gives us shape, discipline and it is great to have him back in the team. Two seasons ago or even last season it was always the case, after a couple of sessions rolling up the sleeves and 100 miles per hour straight away.

Having sustained a knee injury during the pre-season training period in Germany, Manuel returned to London for treatment and rehabilitation under medical supervision.

Ahead of Saturday's clash at home to Spurs, which is live on Sky Sports Premier League from 11.30am, Antonio is confident his goalscoring touch will return. "While disasters like this can seem very far away from us, it is important that we still help where we can".

Though Bilic has admitted that Spurs play the most attractive football in the league, he still believes that West Ham can cause an upset.

But Bilic said: "We have played good against them. But it's a special atmosphere and we all remember those".

"The worldwide break we will have all the players away so it will be difficult to prepare and work hard to try to engage everything".

If they can do that - and also bring the defensive discipline required by tracking the runs of Dele Alli and cover for the loss of injured James Collins - they can make this a hard afternoon for Spurs. We've got a WhatsApp chat.
