The Apple Watch Series 3 looks, acts, and feels nearly exactly the same as the Series 2 with a key difference-LTE wireless connectivity, whether your iPhone is nearby or not.

Here's everything you need to know about the new Apple Watch Series 3. Other new colors are also unleaded all over various bands.

"The first two quarters after Apple releases a new iPhone model, Apple sees a massive sales peak", IHS Markit analyst Ian Fogg said of the carriers' annual competition for wireless subscribers. Apple also expressed its interest in measuring heart arrhythmia, or abnormal heart rhythms, via its Apple Heart Study partnership with the medical community. And with watchOS 4 rolling out September 19, Apple is beefing up other fitness features as well.

The Apple Watch Hermès only comes in a cellular flavour, with the new Marine Gala Leather Single Tour Éperon d'Or band model starting at £1199 and the Noir Gala Leather Single Tour Rallye band version starting at £1299. Customers in the United States have to keep in mind that they will have to pay $10 per month for cellular service on their LTE Apple Watch. With this, you can make calls on the move and stream Apple Music directly, even when you don't have your fancy iPhone bouncing around in your pocket. It can run independently from your iPhone and you can make and receive calls directly from your wrist.

It also features a barometric altimeter that tracks activity, flights climbed and outdoor workouts, including elevation gain.

The integrated microphone was showcased to work in tricky environments, such as when paddling through a windy lake.

Luckily, if you still want the extra power and are happy to keep the Watch connected to your iPhone, Apple is also releasing a standard model without cellular technology. This means you don't have to worry about carrying around your dedicated music player or your iPhone for all your beloved songs.

Apple said that is also launching a dedicated Sports tab to the service in the USA, which will let users track their favourite teams through on-screen notifications and team, league and event information.

The LTE version of the watch has a red knob instead of a silver one, but that's all there is to it.

Apple said its TV app - which it launched in the USA past year - now supports over 60 services and will roll out later this month in Australia and Canada, before launching in Europe.

This will be particularly useful for correlating the heart rate data with the intensity of the route's gradient. Stray too far from that phone, and you lose access to things like messages, Facebook (FB), Twitter (TWTR), Instagram, Uber and Lyft because all that information is crunched on your phone and fed to the watch. Unfortunately, it's taken about as long as Apple to join the 4K set-top box party as it has for producers to offer enough content at the resolution to warrant the purchase. The one with Global Positioning System only model will be priced at $329 and the 4G enabled model is price starts from $399.
