If you're considering this watch, know that it fits somewhere between the Gear S3 and LTE-ready S3.
In terms of size, the Gear Sport's stainless steel body measures in at 42.9 x 44.6 x 11.6mm, and weighs 50g (without the band).

Samsung has been making inroads ever since it started producing phone-connected watches, and this year, the company is using IFA in Germany as the place to showcase where it plans to go to next, and the news is good if you happen to like running, kicking, or just walking very fast.
Now that we have the specs out of the way, let's talk about their features.
There's also no MST payment option for Samsung Pay, meaning you pay with your Gear Sport via NFC but not on older magnetic stripe terminals. It can also work as a remote control for a presentation or while using Gear VR. Offered in Black and Red, it's a stylish fitness band that can also track swimming and heart rate. Switch to second-by-second monitoring and you'll get a better idea of why you're gassed before you've even hit your stride. But the big upgrade from the standard Gear Fit2 is the advanced built-in Global Positioning System here. The Samsung Gear Sport comes with MIL-STD-810G certification and water-resistant up to 5 atmospheres (about 50 meters). The GPS radio sensors, available in both the wearables, are there to ensure improved tracking. "We want to help remove the stigma that fit can only mean one thing and that fitness trackers are complex and for only the most intense of workouts", said DJ Koh, President of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics.
The biggest differences here between the Gear Sport and Gear Fit2 Pro is really the form factor. The trio emphasize fitness features such as the ability to swim in salt water with the Gear Sport and Fit 2 Pro, but they do not include the Bixby voice assistant technology.
In addition to the two smart watches, Samsung also announced their new wireless earphones - the Gear IconX 2018 edition.

The new version of its Gear IconX activity tracking earbuds come with a refined design that promises a more comfortable experience. Also Samsung didn't share how much will it charge for the Gear Sport smartwatch and the IconX earbuds.
The South Korean company has partnered with Spotify so users can download tracks to the device, meaning they can listen independently from their paired smartphone.
