Google cuts up to $200 off its Pixel phones

The Google Pixel 2 has recently leaked, courtesy of Venturebeat's Evan Blass, and it looks like more of the same for Google's flagship range. The discount is presumably to clear inventory for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, but their future is also in doubt.

In terms of design, Google is not inclined to go for anything dramatic unlike other manufacturers like Samsung and Apple who are now giving up on bezels.

A few days back, we saw the images of the small version named Pixel 2. If it follows its usual announcement pattern, Google could drop a word about its next Pixel flagships by October.

This can not be helped as the last few phones launched by Nokia hints on a flagship that is priced below the competition and offers stock Android experience. But this flood of leaks all but confirms what we are to expect with the upcoming release from Google. The picture reveals thick bezels on top and bottom of the Pixel 2, and there's no dual rear camera setup. Note that all of the above fully applies to Google Pixel 2 XL with a slightly larger screen size. To get the Daydream View, you need to add it to your cart along with the Pixel smartphone of your choice.

Our worst fears are confirmed: thick bezels and no headphone jack.

The images show the front-facing speaks and front-facing camera of the Pixel 2. We could even see the Fingerprint Scanner at the back panel.

It's always worth keeping in mind that the images you just saw should still belong to the category of rumors and speculation. After the Google Pixel and Pixel XL had witnessed a lukewarm response in the Indian market previous year, it would be interesting to see whether the second generation of Pixel phones can attract eye-balls or not.

Certainly fans of Google Pixel phones and Google products in general have a lots of options available to them.
