Paulie Malignaggi says he heard UFC champion Conor McGregor "whimper" when he was hit by body shots in their boxing sparring sessions.

Malignaggi went as far as saying that McGregor was not taking care of his sparring partners the way a professional fighter should, especially with the magnitude of the upcoming fight he's got later this month.

Most recently, the 36-year-old appeared on Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour in an astonishing hour long rant, calling his former sparring partner a 'd**khead, while explaining in detail the personality behind the UFC phenomenon.

This, as you might expect, keeps coming up repeatedly.

However, it's probably much more likely that McGregor did indeed push Malignaggi to the floor and that the release of the photo has riled up the former boxer so much that he's doing his level best to destroy public confidence in McGregor by slating his boxing skills. "I enjoyed throwing the beating that I gave him Tuesday night, and I would love to continue to do that", Malignaggi said to TMZ Sports.

"I came to help this camp out, not to be exploited now your gonna get the truth though. I thought there was no way this guy is that much of an a-hole". "He was able to work a little harder than me".

Malignaggi has furiously denied he was ever knocked down by the UFC star during the 12-round session, insisting he was pushed down in the moment captured by Fogarty.

While Malignaggi has been angered by the fallout, he won't reveal McGregor's fight strategy.

But are they the kind of fights that are going to generate interest outside of the MMA bubble? In those early rounds, he was hanging tough.

"From about six rounds on, he became very hittable", the former champ said.

From there, one of two things will happen.

However, Malignaggi did then go on to acknowledge that McGregor came on strong again in the final two rounds and landed some good shots.

"At this stage, I'm waiting for Ashton Kutcher to walk into the dressing rooms and tell me I got Punk'd".

"I said 'I can't deal with this.' His team is a bunch of cheerleaders". Just about any fighter that faces McGregor would be in for the biggest payday of his life, and Malignaggi would certainly make more money than he ever has. "I have a lot of experience, I've been in big fights already". All everybody wanted to know about was these pictures.

However, Malignaggi didn't get the response he was hoping for. I say enjoy the show. "All I did was defend myself, you know?"

Malignaggi sparred twice with McGregor, but was furious when pictures of him on the canvas surfaced on social media.
