Gigabyte already has a page on their official site which shows that the motherboards go on pre-orders in less than 24 hours so those of you who want to be the first to get the boards when they launch on 10th of August should definitely follow the pre-order pages.

The big packaging adds another piece of puzzle to the rumor that Threadripper CPUs may come with AIO LCS liquid cooler out of the box.

In the meantime, AMD today released a shot of Threadripper's packaging, teasing the CPU's appearance along with Vega at SIGGRAPH 2017, the expo is taking place in Los Angeles July 30 to August 3. Intel hasn't revealed the clock speed or amount of L3 cache for the Core i9-7960X, but the CPU in the Geekbench entry runs at a base clock 2.5 GHz and has 22 MB of L3 cache. Two high-end processors based on AMD Ryzen architecture [VIDEO] will become available in AMD-partner retails stores: the 16-core/32-thread 1950X, and the 12-core/24-thread 1920X.
