MacBook prices start at £1,250 while the non-Touch Bar version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro will also start at £1,250.

The iMac CPU is moving to Intel's 7th-generation Core processor, also known as Kaby Lake. While a spec bump isn't traditionally an update worth getting excited about, the MacBook Pro isn't exactly a traditional device.

"This will be our fastest and most powerful Mac ever, which brings workstation-class computing to iMac for the first time", said John Ternus, Apple's vice president of Hardware Engineering. A most notable device is the new iMac Pro, which features a 27-inch 5K screen and an arbitrary 18-core processor.

Prices will start at $1,099 for the base 21.5-inch model, at $1,499 for the 4K 21.5-inch model, and $1,799 for the iMac Retina 5K 27-inch. No wonder Apple essentially ditched it - with the new iMac Pro, the company squeezed seriously high-end components into a very familar, very flexible body. The 15-inch MacBook Pro now comes standard with more powerful discrete graphics with more video memory, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro adds a new S$1,898 configuration. The low-power Y-series chips the MacBook uses see the biggest performance boost from the Kaby Lake upgrade, and Apple has also added the refined butterfly switch keyboard introduced in the MacBook Pros a year ago.

Apple today also updated the 13-inch MacBook Air® with a 1.8 GHz processor.

"Today iMac gets a massive graphics production increase, faster CPU production, Thunderbolt 3 and a brighter Retina display along with support for 1 billion colors", said Ternus.

Apple's iMac computers are getting an internal upgrade boosting processing power and display quality. "Our customers love iMac Pro is a huge step forward, and there's never been anything like it". We reengineered the entire system and designed an entirely new thermal architecture to pack extraordinary performance. The starting configuration for the iMac Pro will start at $4,999.

Featuring next-generation Intel Xeon processors up to 18 cores, iMac Pro is created to handle the most demanding pro workflows.

iOS 11, coming this fall, includes new features for both iPhone and iPad, opening up capabilities for iPads and improving the iPhone OS. They changed the performance into the lovely, quiet iMac enclosure. Other features include a 27-inch 5K display, four Thunderbolt 3 ports and 10GB Ethernet.
