Turley says in an email that "the comments are grossly inappropriate", but that "we do not indict people for being boorish or clueless".
Comey's testimony does support the president's assertion in his termination letter to Comey that the former FBI director assured him on three occasions that he, personally, was not under investigation. The White House has already put the world on notice that Trump may tweet during the testimony.
