The new displays are 43 percent brighter than previous ones, with 500 nits and 10-bit dithering, and the capability to reproduce 1 billion colors. The 21.5 inch iMac will have up to 32GB in memory, and the 27 inch will go up to 64 GB. Apple also embraces USB Type-C on desktop with the iMacs.

Around the back users will find 4x Thunderbolt 3 ports as well as a 10GB ethernet port.

This machine rolls with Radeon Vega graphics and up to 16GB of VRAM and 400GB per second memory bandwidth and 22 Teraflops of half-precision computation.
